Description
One of two bell tower's spiral staircases in the Metropolitan Cathedral of the Assumption of Mary of Mexico City, which is the largest cathedral in the Americas. It is situated atop the former Aztec sacred Templo Mayor and was constructed soon after the Spanish conquest of Tenochtitlan. The two bell towers contain a total of 25 bells. The cathedral is home to two of the largest 18th-century organs in the Americas. Surely Escher, Dali and Bunuel had all visited this unique place for their inspiration and visions of their artistic creations
