The species Strelitzia Nicolai or commonly known as the giant bird of paradise, spreads its bird like head feathers in a majestic display of inflorescence.

Award winning Canadian Photographer John Bartosik, who studied at Toronto's Ryerson photo arts department was a commercial photographer serving corporate, industrial, tourism and institutional clients throughout North America. John's debut as a photographer initiated in Whistler, B.C.with the tourism industry. Surrounded by the majestic beauty of the Coast Mountains, John was inspired to continue his own personal photography, some of which was published in the first of three photo gift books titled Sea to Sky Country.
