Along the north western tip of Franklin Island is sheltered Cunningham Bay, where some of the more exposed rock of the Canadian Shield bears the scars of the last ice age while natural weathering reveals its compositions.

Award winning Canadian Photographer John Bartosik, who studied at Toronto's Ryerson photo arts department was a commercial photographer serving corporate, industrial, tourism and institutional clients throughout North America. John's debut as a photographer initiated in Whistler, B.C.with the tourism industry. Surrounded by the majestic beauty of the Coast Mountains, John was inspired to continue his own personal photography, some of which was published in the first of three photo gift books titled Sea to Sky Country.
